Ready List

The following is a list of equipment and supplies that ARES members
should have ready for an emergency or public service event.

Identification	ARES Identification card FCC License copy driver's license
Radio Gear	2 meter radio microphone headphones power supply/extra batteries AA battery holder for HT lots of AA batteries antennas spare fuses patch cords/adapters (especially PL-259 to BNC) SWR meter extra coax
Writing Gear	pen/pencil/eraser clipboard message forms logbook note paper
Personal Gear (short duration)	snacks water candy bars personal medicines aspirin throat lozenges jacket/sweater rain suit (umbrellas a not good) suntan oil hat (preferably one that shades your eyes and ears)
Personal Gear  (3 day)	3 day water supply cooler with 3 days of food mess kit with cleaning supplies sleeping bag toilet articles alarm clock flashlight with extra batteries
Tool Box	screwdrivers pliers wire cutters socket wrenches electrical tape 12/120 volt soldering iron solder volt-ohm meter
Miscellaneous	radios for other bands hatchet saw pick shovel siphon jumper cables candles rope highway flares extra gas/oil gloves first aid kit
